LinesClash Battle Mode: lines become attacks
A two-player strategy duel built on the same open board. Build longer lines, block threats and turn a strong placement into damage while protecting your own HP.
How a Battle match works
Both players begin with 180 HP. Take turns placing one symbol in an empty cell. Normal line scoring and combo scoring still count, while qualifying plays also damage the opponent. On standard opening rules, a single line of three earns points but does not deal line damage; new lines of four or more can attack.
Reduce your opponent to zero HP to win. If the board fills first, remaining HP decides the result, then score breaks a tied HP total. If both stay equal, the match is a draw.
Attack, guard and choose an ability
- Long lines: a newly built line of four has a 6-damage milestone before modifiers. Extending a rewarded line pays only the extra milestone, rather than paying the whole line again.
- Block guard: a qualifying defensive block raises protection against the next incoming hit. Guard can absorb up to 6 damage.
- Power Strike: complete a line while blocking at least two qualifying threats to add damage and steal some HP. A normal block alone does not trigger it.
- Ability meter: scoring fills a meter. At full charge, choose Drain Strike to heal from your next attack or Shield to reduce the next attack you receive.
The endgame enters Final Clash, which strengthens newly earned attacks. It does not drain HP on quiet moves. Exact values, limits and worked examples are in the Battle rules.
Play against AI, online or on one device
From the home page, open Battle Mode and select your opponent: Computer, Same device or Online friend. Choose the board size before starting. For online play, create the room, share the invite and have both players press Ready before the host starts.
Battle supports two players. Use Classic multiplayer modes for three- or four-player games. Browser play is free and does not require a download.
A useful first Battle plan
Build connected threats instead of placing isolated marks. Check whether a move both extends your own attack and blocks an opponent’s longer line. Save a defensive ability for a meaningful hit, and compare HP as well as points near the end of the board.
The combat display shows attacks and HP changes. Use the move explanation under the board to understand the scoring behind a placement. Start against Casual AI to learn the rhythm, then try a tougher opponent or challenge a friend.
